On March 6, 2026, the four-day 31st South China International Dental Exhibition & Symposium concluded successfully at Area D of the China Import and Export Fair Complex. Amidst the accelerated transformation of the global dental industry, this edition of the exhibition leveraged its strong agglomeration effect to present a premier industry event for dental professionals worldwide, one that deeply integrated industry, academia, research, and clinical application, and fostered a collision and fusion of global insights.
Leveraging the industrial advantages of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the 2026 South China Dental Exhibition served not only as a "bridgehead" for business and trade connections but also evolved into a "super connector," linking global innovation resources and driving the deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application. Covering a total area of 84,000 square meters, the exhibition brought together 1,156 high-end dental brands and manufacturing enterprises from over 20 countries and regions. The Italian pavilion made its debut, joining the German and Korean pavilions to form a diverse international industrial matrix.
Over the four-day period, the exhibition welcomed a total of 74,788 domestic and international professional visitors. Notably, the exhibition organized overseas buyer delegations from countries such as Malaysia, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Canada, Singapore, Russia, India, Vietnam, South Korea, Pakistan, and Egypt, with the number of overseas buyer delegation visitors increasing by 300% year-on-year. Furthermore, the exhibition deeply implemented the concept of "integrating exhibition and industry," organizing participants of the Belt and Road International Training Program to conduct in-depth visits to leading Chinese dental equipment manufacturers and the World Dental Museum. This extended the visitor experience from the exhibition floor to the realms of R&D and manufacturing, facilitating precise alignment between international clinical needs and Chinese R&D capabilities, and achieving a qualitative leap from "product trade" to "technology standard export."
The "Medviewer Future Clinic Experience Zone," created in collaboration with Gelun Technology, became a focal point. By connecting smart headsets with equipment such as microscopes, intraoral scanners, and navigation systems, and utilizing the switch between 2D and 3D microscopic views, visitors wearing AR glasses could seamlessly switch between information from multiple devices by simply turning their heads, experiencing an efficient "undivided attention to the patient" workflow. This scenario provided a practical model for digital transformation in dental institutions and established a shared platform for collaborative innovation between academic institutions and enterprises.
At the exhibition, various digital complete denture solutions, edentulous arch implant solutions, digital painless anesthesia, AI-integrated dental chairs, and digital invisible orthodontic technologies demonstrated rapid iteration, sending a unified signal: digital diagnostic and treatment technologies are gradually becoming the new clinical standard, and the industry is undergoing a profound transformation driven by intelligent technology.
Throughout the four-day event, 286 professional seminars took place, bringing together over 300 distinguished domestic and international experts to deliver a rich academic feast for the industry.
Leveraging the exhibition platform, the synergistic effect of high-level academic events was evident. The Belt and Road Stomatology Conference was upgraded this year to a regularized international collaboration mechanism, featuring Malaysia as the guest country of honor. It deeply integrated resources from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and brought together dental experts from countries and regions including Malaysia, Cambodia, Egypt, Myanmar, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Macau to jointly build a "Community of Oral Health." The Belt and Road International Training Program on Dental Technology also officially commenced during the exhibition, attracting participants from Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
